How do you manage painful internal acne?
Before I turned 30, I used to get acne with yellow pus, and my face was very oily and shiny.
When that happens Acne Care I used to squeeze it out with something like a clean cotton swab. If I squeezed it, it would disappear the next day.
However, looking at the pattern of my acne these days, while there are occasional cases that ripen to a yellow color, I mainly get large, red pimples deep within the skin.
This type of acne initially appears as a little red, but then suddenly gets bigger and becomes painful.
I have to apply concealer to cover it, and since it gets touched, it swells up tightly, and tears well up when I touch it.
If I touch it to try squeezing it with a cotton swab, wondering if something yellow will come out, it gradually turns dark red and leaves a mark as if someone had pinched it. Also, should I describe it as ripening to a yellow color? There is no such appearance. This type of acne usually appears once a month, around that time of the month, and it occurs on the forehead and chin.
I think it used to just go away after a few days, but as time goes on, the pain gets worse and the color changes to a dark red.
So, my own Acne care I am doing two things.
1. I usually avoid using pads for wiping toner because I'm concerned about my skin barrier, but I lightly wiped my face with Daiso's Cica Toner Pads containing Cica ingredients. I intended to soothe my skin, refresh my skin texture, and keep my skincare routine light. However, since I kept my skincare routine light, I felt like the overall moisturization was a bit lacking.
2. I tried the Daiso OD-TD Spot Calming Gel, which has become famous in many places as a trouble care product. This is a product used as a night care item after finishing your skincare routine. Since it is applied after completing your skincare, I thought it was even better because it provides hydration while also caring for acne.
To be honest, I applied the Spot Calming Gel as part of my night care without fail on the first and second days, but I started forgetting to do so after that. I think it's because I could see the irritation subsiding internally as the pain went away, and it didn't hurt much even when it touched my face. And then, it gradually disappeared.
I'm curious how you manage internal acne like mine, which doesn't fill with pus but grows larger deep inside the skin.
I remember visiting a skin clinic before for milia or other acne, and they gently opened the pores with a pin and extracted the pimples. So I was thinking of trying that myself, but I'm worried that doing it might leave scars and pain again. Acne care is I want to know how you do it at home.
