Are regenerating and moisturizing creams important for managing acne scars?
I thought that managing acne scars would be enough if I just washed my face thoroughly.
Believing that if I just wipe away sebum and impurities well, breakouts and their traces will naturally disappear
I made sure to do foaming wash, deep cleansing, and exfoliation twice a day... but the result is that my skin seems to have become even more sensitive.
Lately, whenever I look in the mirror, the remaining red marks catch my eye.
Even if you cover it with makeup, it shows up quickly, and it doesn't fade easily over time.
I think my old routine, which I thought was for managing acne scars, actually broke down my skin barrier.
I am gradually realizing that managing blemishes is ultimately about 'restoring' them, not 'erasing' them.
I have switched to a mild facial cleanser, and I apply a soothing cream immediately after washing my face.
I would like to be introduced to better ways to manage acne scars besides this.
