Winter toner

Do you use a wiping toner even in the winter? My skin gets dry when I use it, so I just apply toner instead. I often see comments on YouTube saying that wiping toners aren't good, so I'm a bit hesitant to do it. I suppose it depends on your skin type, though. For those of you who use a wiping toner in the winter, could you tell me what products you use? I'm curious.
