Are there any downsides to using lip tint?

There are so many types of tints.

I want to try using lip tint, but I'm wondering if it leaves a lot of stain on the lips. I'm also curious if it makes them drier.

I'm also worried about whether the tint wears off naturally after use or if it leaves a stain that looks messy. I'd like to know if there are any downsides, such as excessive dryness or highlighting dead skin cells. Since I don't usually use lip products, longevity and application are also important to me. Please share your opinion on whether this is suitable for a beginner.
