Hair care tips from a hair model who has tried every product on her hair
This is what I realized while working as a freelance hair model
I seriously feel like I'm going to go bald if I don't take care of myself lol ㅠㅠㅠㅠ
So at first, I tried getting treatments at clinics and going to scalp shops, but
Even if you try things like this, since you don't do home care, it eventually goes back to being like straw...
Anyway, since I'm a hair model, I guess.
I really worked hard on my hair care.
I’m going to share some really great hair items with you all hehe.
Aveda comb
Brushing your hair often is yyy more important for its health than you think!!
I'm not very good at doing things out of habit, so...
I used to just comb it once before and after washing.
Ever since I became a hair model, I carry a comb around like it’s my alter ego.
Due to the nature of my job, I do extremely meticulous setups.
You have to comb it well, even the inside.
Combs that are good for hair have pointed ends, so
It hurt because it scratched my scalp when it touched it.
Even at the salon, there are people like me who comb deep into their scalp
Using a pointed comb damages the scalp barrier
You also mentioned that it can scrape off even the stratum corneum.
So I was looking for something that wouldn't be too irritating, and...
I bought this because it's super famous.
The tips of the comb are rounded, so there is no irritation.
Even when combing tangled hair, it doesn't just break off.
I love it so much because it unravels smoothly.
If you gently pat and massage before shampooing, it's pure bliss...
Aromatica Scalp Scaler
Season trend (cut, dye, perm) pictorials or
Beauty pictorials are even a day
We shoot by changing styles 3 or 4 times, you know?
I used up an entire can of spray to fix it in place for about 6 to 8 hours, then
Then I undo it again and style it differently...
No matter how thoroughly you wash it
It is impossible not to leave hair product residue on the scalp..
As I've been shooting seasonal trends several times
My scalp feels stuffy for a while?
I keep feeling like waste is building up.
In the end, I bought it at Olive Young in a hurry.
I bought the scalp scaler that looked the best.
It suits me so well that I'm settling in haha.
There are some salt-like granules inside this!
Just like a body scrub!!
So, if you lightly wet it and gently rub it as if giving your scalp a massage...
It feels like all the impurities and hair product residue are being scrubbed away thoroughly..
After using it, the oozing scalp trouble caused by residue definitely
It's running low, so I'm still using it well lol
But I'm only using it twice a week because I'm worried it might be too irritating..!!!
Off-on Seaweed Shampoo
This one is the shop manager
I heard that he uses it personally at home, so I copied him right away.
Even though it is mildly acidic, the cleansing power is really good.
I was surprised how well it cleaned my scalp, leaving it feeling incredibly refreshed.
It feels like it really cools down the heat in my scalp!!
That said, the cooling sensation doesn't come on super strong all at once.
It spreads gently all over the scalp lol
And it works instantly when you use it on an irritated scalp.
The redness also seems to subside quickly.
Since using this, I haven't been getting many pimples on my scalp either!
In shampoo or essence shoots
Because long, healthy, flowing straight hair is a must
I have to keep taking care of it even when there are no filming schedules.
At first, I didn't think about my scalp because I was focused on taking care of my hair.
I've used a ton of treatment before, but the effect wasn't that great...
Ultimately, it seems like you need a healthy scalp to have good hair.
Now, I'm definitely taking care of my scalp first..!
Hair models, in particular, undergo frequent treatments
Something you absolutely, positively cannot do if your scalp is weak..
So, starting with supermarket shampoo
Well, the famous one that's good for the scalp... everyone knows...
I've tried all those brands too, but there was always something lacking in each one.
The ingredients aren't great either...
But this is definitely... maybe because it was recommended by the manager
It fits so well, I'm extremely satisfied..!!!
(I’m starting to blindly trust the manager again,) (Nods)
Backless treatment
And of course, after shampooing, I apply treatment.
When choosing a treatment, rather than other things
I found and am using silicone-free ones!
When filming about essence
Because I need the ultimate angel halo and shimmer
Because it is created using something like highly concentrated silicone for filming, which is much more than the standard amount, it is very bad for the hair.
For home care products, I always go for ones with good and healthy ingredients..!!
Silicone ingredients are very commonly found in commercial treatments.
I heard this one minimizes harmful ingredients like silicone.
I bought it because I was captivated by that part.
It works really well, so I keep using it haha.
The texture is like chewy butter.
It feels like it adheres perfectly to the hair.
It's the best because it doesn't feel dry or frizzy even after drying!!
And here's a really great tip: apply the treatment and
If you use a Daiso foil hair cap for just 5 to 10 minutes
You can make fresh seaweed that tastes just like you've had a clinic treatment.
After using it, a beautiful angel ring forms.
Do you have a shampoo or essence shoot the next day?
Then definitely go ahead and pair this with a hair cap lol
Healing Bird Hair Mist
I apply oil even after drying my hair.
Something you can apply lightly before drying.
I found it and am using it.
So I use hair mist as a heat protectant.
It's a mist, so you just have to spray it on.
When I spray it, it feels like my hair is being coated.
When my hair gets greasy or after blow-drying
It doesn't get crispy or anything like that, so I'm using it well..!!
It feels a bit like a light hydrating ampoule??
And take this to the filming set.
Spray lightly when removing hard hairspray or before using a curling iron.
I'm trying my best not to damage my hair.
Especially when spraying
It hurts a bit less if I spray this and blow, so it's an essential item on the set.
Moroccan Hair Oil
This is something you apply after drying your hair.
Honestly, the price is outrageous.
So I even tried to use something else, but
In the end, I always come full circle back to this place.
Most beauty or trend shoots are pre-set, so
They even press down the flyaways and things like that with hairspray.
For essence or shampoo shoots, it's because of the texture, shine, or angel ring.
You shouldn't fix it too tightly.
Sometimes stray hairs stick out, you know?
In that case, take just a tiny bit into your hand.
If you press it firmly, all the flyaway hairs will be caught.
When I used other hair oils, they felt really greasy and sticky.
Maybe because it's an oil formula, it absorbs completely.
It doesn't feel greasy even when used during filming.
It's such a convenient item to use even just at home.
You don't need to use much, just half a pump?
If you squeeze out just the right amount and apply it to the ends of your hair
It holds flyaway hairs and makes them softer..!!
And the luxurious scent in the hair salon
It has a subtle scent that makes me feel good lol.
I have so many other things to worry about besides this.
I just wrote down the best parts for now, hehe.
I originally started as a hair model at a salon to get my hair done for free, but
This is a case where I transitioned into a freelance model as I built up my portfolio.
If you are interested in becoming a hair model
You absolutely must start by taking care of your scalp and hair..!!
The scalp is especially, really, really important.
And also, healthy and shiny long straight hair
I think it's the best lol
The best hair for styling..
Please try not to dye or bleach your hair if possible..!!
Starting with small models like me at hair salons or beauty academies
Build your portfolio
While constantly checking beauty platforms or new brands
It is a good idea to check the job posting.
Rather than aiming for a big corporation from the start
If you apply to places like startups, you're much, much more likely to get hired haha.
I feel like I wrote way too much rambling, but
I really experienced it and
As I tried to include everything I wanted to tell you...
Please take this as my sincere truth.
If you have any secret hair care tips that only you know, please share them!
