Inquiry about blackhead removal methods

How do you all remove blackheads? ... I'm getting scared now that summer is slowly approaching. ㅜㅜ I usually apply a warm compress with a wet towel for 30 seconds, then rub in cleansing oil for another 30 seconds, lather up cleansing foam, wash it off, and then apply toner... Am I doing this correctly? ... Actually, when I look at my pores the next time after removing them, they seem even more visible, so I don't really do it anymore.
