Please recommend a cream that is good for freckles and pigmentation.

I sometimes get hyperpigmentation whenever I get a pimple. Also, I get melasma even though I use sunscreen. So, it seems like creams that claim to be good for pigmentation aren't working for me. There are a lot of advertisements for creams that claim to be good for melasma these days, but I don't really trust them. Is there a cream that you have actually seen results with?
