Does makeup fixer work?

I received a sample and used the small one or two times, but I didn't see any effect at all. They say the staying power is amazing, but it still wears off just the same, and touch-ups have just become harder. How on earth am I supposed to use it? ㅠㅠ I just spray it a few times after I finish my makeup.
