Which do you prefer, a scrub or a peeling gel?

I exfoliate my face occasionally, and I use a scrub product.

Products containing sea salt are really good these days, so I've been using Lush Ocean Salt.

I saw on Unpa that a lot of people use peeling gels.

I'm thinking of trying a peeling gel, but I'm wondering if it's effective.
