DIY gel nail essentials

This is a peel-off base product that is a must-have for gel nails! When I first started doing self-gel nails, my biggest worry was gel removal, but this product helps make the process easy. You can apply this product before starting your nail art, and when peeling it off later, simply apply oil to the tips and gently remove the nail polish to minimize damage.

I use two products. The red one is from Jello Jello; for Jello Jello, you apply a peel-off base and let it cure. The white one is from Daiso, and you just need to apply it and let it air dry.

In my case, I find myself reaching for the Daiso products that air dry more often! After all, my hands tend to get sunburned if exposed to the lamp too much... haha. Also, since these products are designed to make removal easy, they don't last very long, so I apply the peel-off product only to the center of my face, then apply another base product before layering on the color.

Both are good products, but since Daiso is cheaper, I recommend trying the Daiso product first if you are thinking of using them!
