Question) Is it correct to apply body oil to wet skin after showering?
I am a user who alternates between body lotion, cream, and oil because my skin is usually dry.
I often skip it in the summer because I dislike the stickiness, but my arms and legs are particularly dry, so I try to apply at least a small amount all year round.
Until now, I applied the oil just like a regular lotion, drying myself completely with a towel after showering.
It seemed to absorb slowly, and because of that distinctive greasy feeling, I always felt uncomfortable whenever I got dressed. However, recently I heard from people around me that "body oil should be applied when the skin is damp."
I understand the step of rubbing it in to absorb while it is still wet, but I'm struggling with what comes next.
Should I gently pat away any remaining moisture on my skin with a towel after applying oil?
Or should I put on my clothes immediately after letting them air dry? I'm worried the towel will get ruined if I wipe the oil off my body with it.
I'm worried, but I'm hesitant to wear it as is because I'm afraid it might get on my clothes.
