Instead of lip balm

My skin is so extremely dry that even lip balms that used to be fine turn on quickly when I use them these days, so it seems like they just aren't right for me, even though I have four or five at home. Since the lip balm has a small capacity, I was wondering if I should substitute it with Vaseline or aloe cream.
