Tip for when you suddenly get acne: Take Vitamin A!!
I have a skin type that rarely gets acne. However, that doesn't mean I'm acne-free 365 days a year. I find that I get breakouts when my menstrual cycle comes around, or when my moisture balance is disrupted during transitional seasons or dry weather. Whenever that happens, my solution is to take Vitamin A. Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin, and the maximum daily intake is said to be 3,000 mcg (10,000 IU). During winter or transitional seasons, I take it about Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, while in hot summers like these, I seem to take it every 3 to 4 days. By taking it regularly like this, I have definitely been able to see with my own eyes that my facial skin is improving.
However, you know how sometimes you forget to take supplements, or it can be a hassle to remember to take them.
Moreover, there are times when you even get acne, such as when you are tired or your period starts.
Whenever that happened, if I took a Vitamin A pill right away, my acne would go away the very next day.
Last year, when my skin started showing signs of aging and deteriorating, I did some research and learned that Vitamins A and E are good for the skin. I started taking them, and I have definitely seen results. (For reference, I apply Vitamin E topically through cosmetics.)
If any of you are struggling with acne, give this a try.
Since it is a vitamin, there are no side effects as long as you don't overuse it, so I think it is a method worth trying.
