It has a moisturizing texture. I like that it combines both essence and styling. My curls don't get messed up even when I sweat in the heat or during the humid rainy season. Since it is an essence, it adds shine to my hair, and because it allows for styling, it maintains and holds my curls in place.

I wash my hair in the evening, so I use this in the morning while styling.
