cc크림까지는 사용해봤는데 dd크림은 처음이네요~ 잘 보고 갑니당
This is a review of Hanskin's Code On DD Cream Foundation.
In my 20s, even if I applied sunscreen inconsistently, blemishes didn't really show. However, I think my skin suffered the most from the continuous pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare that began in my late 20s. My pores have enlarged like oranges, and my blemishes have become patchy, making my skin tone a complete mess. It feels like I'm going from shade 21 to 23.
With these things in mind, I set a goal to have clear and clean skin, so I shifted my focus from color cosmetics to coverage. Consequently, I began to prioritize a base that refines 'texture'—such as pores and unevenness—and covers 'tone'—such as concealing blemishes. However, the more I layer up to cover imperfections, the prettier my skin looks. It remains a dilemma; when I try too hard to pay attention, my makeup tends to cake, smudge, or look too thick. While my makeup skills are lacking, my skin is also losing both oil and moisture over time. My skin condition is steadily deteriorating.
So, while I wanted to provide some condition care, I was looking for something that was fast-acting, moisturizing, offered decent coverage, and applied lightly, which is how I discovered Hanskin's Code On Didi Cream Foundation. I found it fascinating that Didi Cream had been released after BB Cream and CC Cream. However, when I used the BB Cream, the shade was a bit too dark, and the CC Cream had more of a tone-up effect, so I didn't use either of them for very long. That is why I was curious to see what the next foundation containing Didi Cream would be like.
This product comes in a cute red, scallop-shaped package. Its thin and lightweight size makes it very portable, but since I don't carry foundation around to touch up, I'm not sure if that's really an advantage. One thing I always find disappointing while using it is that the opening is at the bottom, so you have to stand it up after squeezing it out; since the tip is round, it's a bit difficult to stand upright, which is a bit of a drawback.
The texture is very moisturizing. The shade is No. 21, but it is on the brighter side compared to the three products I own.
I usually use the Jung Saem Mool cushion, but shade 21 Light is a calm yellow-beige, so it has quite a lot of yellow undertones. It is dark enough for others to say, but actually, this is a shade that I can use comfortably and calmly on my skin right now. I want to apply it with a slightly brighter finish, and since it is moisturizing yet provides some coverage for pores and tone, I am using the Didi Cream Foundation.
Compared to the Hera Black Cushion, it has better coverage, a matte finish, and applies brightly. Even considering the convenience of using a puff, it applies moisturizingly without feeling sticky or heavy, and the coverage is decent, so I find myself enjoying Hanskin products.
After applying it, blemishes are slightly evened out, making the skin look brighter overall. I liked it because it smooths out pores and gives a natural glow. Looking at the before and after photos, my skin was fairly even without using primer or concealer. I only applied a thin layer, and even though it was a bit bright, it blends naturally over time. I didn't even need to touch it up.
I have a tip after using this product. During dry times like these, it is best to let your toner absorb well and apply this when your skin is firm and supple. Although the texture is moisturizing, spreading it with your hands makes it dry out quickly and look messy. It is better to spread it thinly with the included silicone brush and then set it up with a cushion puff or a triangular puff. That is why I think the season it works best for is actually the humid and hot summer.
I’ve introduced the Code On DD Cream Foundation from Hanskin, a brand known for its excellent skin coverage. Honestly, I’m not entirely sure of the exact definition of DD Cream, but I think it combines the coverage of BB cream with the spreadability of CC cream. I hope you give DD Cream a try, as it offers great coverage and smooth application.
