It has separate oil and water layers. You just mix them together; it doesn't sting the eyes at all and is very gentle. It doesn't feel like a heavy oil, but rather like a hydrating oil—lightweight and keeps the skin moisturized even after use. I bought it at Olive Young because it was the cheapest there!
