If I give excessive nutrients to dehydrated skin, does the skin stop functioning on its own and age faster?
Hello! I have been having some skin concerns lately, so I am writing this post to ask for your opinions and tips.
I originally have a dehydrated skin type, but lately my skin has been feeling rough and dry, so I have been applying nutrient-rich products like ampoules and nourishing creams generously.
But then, a thought suddenly crossed my mind! If we continuously supply the skin with excessive nutrients or high-performance ingredients, does the skin lose its natural regenerative power and stop building barriers or regenerating itself? I suddenly worry that because everything is being supplied from the outside, the skin becomes lazy, causing the barrier to weaken and aging to progress even faster. 😅
Would reducing excessive nutrient supply, like in a 'skin rest period' or 'cosmetic diet,' be more beneficial for long-term skin health and anti-aging? Or is it better to replenish with highly nutritious products immediately whenever I feel dryness?
For those of you knowledgeable about caring for dehydrated skin or how to use highly nourishing products, please share your helpful tips and experiences in the comments! Thank you! 💕
