Soothe with Round Lab Pine Soothing Cica Ampoule!
I first found out about Round Lab... My nephew, who is about to enlist in the military, sometimes comes over to sleep over when he gets late playing with friends and misses the last bus home. Every time he did, I found the Dokdo Cleansing Foam in his duffel bag, haha.
I thought, "Is this already for the military... a PX product?" So I asked, "What is this?" and she replied, "Auntie, that's a brand that works on acne." She said her girlfriend told her about it and she bought it at Olive Young.
I was worried about the red pimples on my high school son's forehead as he goes through extreme puberty... Hearing that, I went to Olive Young and picked up this ampoule. He kept touching it and making a mess.
Round Lab's Pine Soothing Cica Ampoule is said to be effective for soothing because it contains five types of Cica ingredients along with Round Lab's proprietary Pine Cica Activer. The phytoncide from the pine tree relaxes the skin, while the highly concentrated Cica ingredients strengthen damaged skin barriers and alleviate inflammatory reactions. Looking at my son, the effects weren't dramatic immediately after application, but I could definitely see his skin calming down day by day. He is a super lazy, typical high school sophomore in Korea, so he absolutely never pays attention to this and that. Often, after washing up, he would just apply Cica Toner and this ampoule, and that was it. If he happened to be in the mood, he would apply Madeca Cream. Oh, and on top of that... I kept nagging him... and made him pull back the bangs that were falling onto his forehead. Keeping his hair out of the way is the number one priority, you know!
You can see the ampoule texture, right? It's watery. So? He actually liked it even more, haha. It absorbs smoothly without any stickiness. I told him to apply it again and pat his forehead when it spreads out too much.
Perhaps because it is still young skin rather than my mom's skin worn out by the world, I am relieved that moisturizing with just the ampoule doesn't seem to cause any internal dryness, and my child said it is fine.
I looked it up... apparently, unlike the AHA and BHA we know, it contains LHA, a low-irritation 4th-generation exfoliating ingredient that is similar to the skin's pH! How fascinating. In addition to that, it said the ampoule contains triple hyaluronic acid of low, medium, and high molecular weight, so it densely delivers moisture to the skin according to their respective sizes. I guess that's why~
Since it has been certified as suitable for acne-prone skin, I think it would work well even for sensitive skin.
I feel like using it with the cream might create more of a placebo effect... but seeing my child's reaction that it was too much of a hassle... I just let it go, telling them it's their skin.
