I am curious about whether to use cleansing foam when washing my face in the morning and the effects of washing with water.
Hello. I am an ordinary office worker who is very interested in skincare. I am posting this question because I am wondering whether I absolutely need to use cleansing foam every morning when washing my face, or if a light rinse with water is sufficient. When I think about the oil secreted overnight and the dust from my bedding, I really want to use a cleanser to wash it all away. However, I am also worried that if I cleanse too much in the morning, it might weaken my skin barrier and cause severe dryness.
My skin tends to become slightly sensitive depending on the season or my condition, so I want to minimize irritation. I am unsure whether water alone is sufficient to remove impurities accumulated while sleeping, or if using even a mildly acidic product to remove excess oil would be more beneficial for my skin health. In particular, given that I need to apply makeup or sunscreen before going to work, which cleansing method would be more effective for ensuring proper absorption of my basic skincare steps?
I intend to review even the smallest details of my skincare routine with a desire to practice systematic care. I would appreciate valuable advice from those who have shared similar concerns or know the appropriate morning cleansing methods for different skin types. Sharing your personal experiences or expert opinions would be of great help in establishing proper skincare habits. Thank you.
