Stretch mark prevention methods

Stretch marks are caused by the tearing of the dermis layer when the skin suddenly stretches or shrinks. Since it can be difficult to completely eliminate stretch marks, prevention is the best approach. Try the following methods to prevent stretch marks.

(1) Moisturizing the skin

Dry skin is prone to stretch marks, so please ensure you drink plenty of water and consistently use moisturizers or oils. In particular, after showering, please apply moisturizer or oil to areas susceptible to stretch marks, such as the forearms, abdomen, thighs, and calves, and massage gently.

(2) Maintain a healthy diet

Rapid weight changes caused by obesity or dieting are major causes of stretch marks. Therefore, please maintain a balanced diet and consume foods rich in vitamins and minerals. Since coffee and alcohol can promote moisture loss and cause skin dryness, it is best to consume them in moderation.

(3) Exercise regularly

Exercise increases muscle mass and elasticity, helps with weight management, and is good for preventing stretch marks. However, doing a lot of muscle exercises in a short period can cause stretch marks to appear as muscle mass increases rapidly, so it is best to gradually increase your exercise volume.

(5) Protecting skin from sunlight
