The second most effective factor in extending lifespan is not becoming addicted to opioids. Overcoming opioid addiction reduces mortality by 38%.

 

3. Non-smoker

Quitting smoking can reduce the risk of death by up to 29%. However, this does not apply to former smokers. Researcher Nguyen explained, “These are standards set to regulate as strictly as possible.” However, experts say that quitting smoking at any stage brings significant health benefits.

 

4. Minimize stress

Chronic stress is the root of all diseases. Effectively managing stress reduces the risk of premature death by 22%.

 

5. Good eating habits

Research results showed that good eating habits can extend lifespan by up to 21%. Here, good eating habits refer to a vegetable-based diet. However, this does not necessarily mean one must become a vegetarian or vegan. The researchers stated, “The key is to follow a healthy vegetable-based diet, such as the Mediterranean diet.”
