Let's make sure to take a proper shower in the hot summer.
It's a hot summer, so I end up showering several times a day, but I found out there are precautions to keep in mind when showering.
First, avoid showering with water that is too hot or too cold! Some people shower with cold water because they like to warm up or cool down quickly, but this can disrupt your skin's oil-moisture balance and cause your skin barrier to break down, so please make sure to shower with lukewarm water that is similar to your body temperature!
Second, keep showers to a moderate length, ideally under 20 minutes. There are people who take their time washing for over an hour while listening to music, but doing so strips away the skin's natural oil barrier, which is said to destroy cells. So, let's limit ourselves to 20 minutes and shower no more than twice a day!
