1. Make sure to apply sunscreen all year round

It is more effective to apply it 30 minutes before going out rather than while you are out, and to reapply it every two hours. Don't forget to apply it even on rainy days or when you stay indoors; why not try making it a habit to apply it every day?

2. Reduce stress

Stress is known to be the root of all illnesses and can also contribute to the formation of melasma. It is said that stress increases the activity of pigment-forming cells, thereby raising the likelihood of melasma developing. Therefore, I believe it is important to find your own ways to relieve stress. I encourage you to discover your own methods of stress relief through walks, exercise, and hobbies.

3. Eat vegetables and fruits

It is such great news to hear that healthy vegetables and delicious fruits are also good for the skin. Vitamin C is the best ingredient for protecting the skin by blocking the production of melanin pigment, and since it is an antioxidant that helps strengthen the immune system by preventing cell oxidation, it would be a good idea to take care of your health by consistently consuming various vegetables and fruits every day.

4. Stay hydrated

Everyone knows that drinking plenty of water is good for you, but it is not easy to put into practice. It is said that drinking plenty of water helps lighten freckles. The recommended daily water intake for adults set by the U.S. National Academy of Sciences is 2.7 liters for women and 3.7 liters for men. This is a difficult amount to consume. Therefore, I recommend drinking barley tea or lemon water instead of plain water. Barley tea has a savory flavor that goes down easily, while lemon is refreshing and contains a lot of Vitamin C, which is good for the skin. Stay hydrated to become healthy and beautiful!
