물도 자주 마셔야 하고 자세도 점검해야 하고.. 어렵네요ㅜ
01 Drink water frequently.
Dehydrated skin is prone to losing elasticity and becoming rough. Drinking one or two glasses of cold water immediately upon waking in the morning helps the stomach and intestines function normally. Eating breakfast afterward stimulates the release of digestive juices and improves blood circulation, resulting in clearer skin. Generally, it is recommended to drink about eight cups of water a day to replenish skin moisture. Consistent water intake also helps reduce sebum production. Especially during the dry spring season, skin becomes rough and loses elasticity, making it prone to wrinkles; therefore, maintain optimal indoor humidity using humidifiers or humidity-regulating plants.
02 Be friendly with fruits and vegetables
Vitamin C, found in fruits and vegetables, is the best ingredient for clear skin. It also helps prevent skin aging through its antioxidant properties. However, Vitamin C is easily destroyed and absorbed slowly. If you do not consume Vitamin C consistently, your skin will become rough and lose elasticity. Try to eat at least one serving of fruits and vegetables a day.
03 Always apply sunscreen.
Ultraviolet (UV) rays are the leading cause of skin aging. UV rays can lead to pigmentation disorders such as freckles and age spots, dehydration due to heat damage, and the destruction of collagen and elastic fibers. UV rays are also identified as a cause of skin cancer. Since it takes at least 30 minutes for sunscreen to adhere evenly to the skin surface and exert its effects, it must be applied 30 minutes before going outdoors to be effective. When spending a long time outdoors, reapply every 2 to 3 hours. This is because the UV protection effect decreases over time due to sweat and skin contact. Additionally, for effective UV protection, apply a sufficient amount, typically about the size of a 500-won coin. It is recommended to use a sunscreen with an SPF of 15–30 and PA++ for daily use, and to choose a product with an SPF of 30–50 and PA++ to+++ for outdoor activities.
04 Get enough sleep.
Lack of sleep prevents skin regeneration, causing the texture to become rough and increasing the risk of wrinkles. Skin cells regenerate during deep sleep. Nighttime is the time of day when skin regeneration and blood circulation reach their peak. During the night, all cells in the body expel waste, absorb new nutrients, undergo cell division, and recharge with new energy. This period typically runs from 10 PM to around 2 AM. Additionally, melatonin is secreted at night to whiten the skin, and its secretion generally peaks at 2 AM, when people are in their deepest sleep. Therefore, if you have trouble sleeping or stay up all night during this time, your skin becomes dull, and the sebaceous glands become overactive, making the skin rough and oily. Make sure to go to bed before midnight at the latest to ensure 6 to 8 hours of sleep per day.
05 Don't forget to check your posture regularly.
Resting your chin on your hand can cause wrinkles by rubbing your facial skin with your palm. If habits such as resting your chin on your hand while reading a book accumulate, a distorted facial contour, sagging skin, and loose jawline can develop after a few years. The habit of squinting to curl your eyelashes while applying mascara can lead directly to forehead wrinkles. Be careful, as fine lines can also form between your eyebrows. Additionally, soft pillows contribute to facial wrinkles. Sleeping on your stomach, in particular, can lead to deep nasolabial folds. It is also detrimental to blood circulation, causing your face to swell easily while you sleep. Frequently rubbing your eyes can accelerate the formation of fine lines and dark circles around the eyes. Frequent eye makeup is also a shortcut to fine lines. Irritating the delicate skin around the eyes can easily lead to wrinkles.
06 Quit smoking and drinking
The skin around the eyes and mouth is composed of thin and delicate tissue; smoking, which involves frequent use of the muscles around the mouth, increases the likelihood of developing nasolabial folds or marionette lines (bulldog wrinkles). Furthermore, smoking causes lip tone to darken and is considered a major culprit in destroying Vitamin C. A deficiency in Vitamin C leads to the rapid formation of wrinkles, accelerating skin aging. It also reduces the regenerative capacity of skin cells, slowing down wound healing. In addition, the nicotine in cigarettes constricts the skin's capillaries, hindering the supply of necessary nutrients and oxygen. Alcohol depletes moisture from the body, leading to dehydration of the skin. Lack of moisture reduces skin elasticity and accelerates aging.
