5 Great Summer Skin Care Tips

1. Prevent pigmentation with sun care!

 

To prevent hyperpigmentation, it is essential to apply sunscreen 30 minutes before going outside! This allows the sunscreen to fully absorb into the dermis and perform its proper function of protecting the skin by reflecting sunlight. It is best to apply an amount of sunscreen roughly the size of your index finger joint and then pat it in. Please remember that if you apply less than a finger joint, your skin will not be able to reflect sunlight sufficiently!

 

2. Mask pack for maintaining moisturized skin

 

As you all know, it is best to keep face masks chilled before use. This is because the ingredients in the mask ampoule can deteriorate as the temperature rises. Also, the fact is that leaving a mask on your face for a long time to moisturize is actually not good for hydration! If the mask remains in contact with the skin for an extended period, it can actually make the skin drier. Just as a sponge cannot absorb more water if you keep pouring it on even after it is fully soaked, the skin also has a limited amount of moisture it can absorb. Once the skin has absorbed a certain amount of the ampoule, the remaining product traps moisture deep within the skin and evaporates along with it, which can lead to even greater dryness. It is especially recommended that those with dry skin limit their mask usage to around 10 minutes.

Furthermore, dietary fiber promotes regular bowel movements and aids in the elimination of toxins and waste from the body, contributing to smooth skin.

 

 

4. Make your face smaller with facial muscle massage

 

It seems you are particularly concerned about your jaw muscles, nasolabial folds, and wrinkles around your eyes. In fact, these issues can be sufficiently addressed at home with just a little care. First, jaw muscles (masseters) often develop due to physical tension. Since overdeveloped massets can even cause spinal misalignment, it is very important to loosen them up. Simply wrapping your jaw with a warm compress can soften the stiff muscles through the heat. Afterward, using a face roller or gently massaging the massets along your facial contours with your hands can not only make your face appear smaller but also help prevent spinal misalignment. As an additional tip for massaging the massets, it is especially beneficial to massage the muscles that protrude when you clench your teeth tightly.

You can significantly prevent and improve nasolabial folds and wrinkles around the eyes simply by loosening the muscles next to the bridge of the nose (nasal muscles). As you speak or make facial expressions in daily life, the nasal muscles develop; the larger these muscles become, the more likely wrinkles around the eyes and nasolabial folds are to deepen. Gently pushing the nasal muscles from the inside out about 30 times, using the bridge of the nose as a reference, relaxes the tense muscles and shrinks them, thereby alleviating nasolabial folds and wrinkles around the eyes.

 

 

5. Recover quickly from fatigue with a cold foot bath!

 

Many people believe that soaking their feet in warm water is the only way to relieve fatigue. While warm foot baths are beneficial, soaking in cold water allows you to relieve fatigue in a short time, typically within 3 to 5 minutes. When our bodies feel tired, a lack of oxygen causes a fatigue-causing substance called lactic acid to accumulate. Taking a foot bath in ice water activates blood circulation to raise the body temperature, ensuring a smooth supply of oxygen throughout the body. This supplied oxygen breaks down lactic acid and reduces swelling, making the body feel lighter and alleviating fatigue. However, please remember that your feet will become very cold after the bath, so you should massage them with your hands to generate heat!
