여름이라 발각질 관리도 신경쓰였는데 감사합니다
Do not pick at the calluses on the soles of your feet with your hands.
◇ Carelessly tearing it off will only damage the skin
Indiscriminately removing dead skin cells not only fails to alleviate them but can actually irritate the skin. The more severe the irritation, the more the stratum corneum thickens, creating a vicious cycle. Furthermore, picking at the dead skin with fingernails or using nail clippers, knives, or scissors can cause bleeding, posing a risk of bacterial infection. Many people also try to remove dead skin cells after soaking their feet in water, but this is not a good method. Not only dead cells but also living cells become entangled and slough off. While symptoms may appear to improve in the short term, it damages the skin in the long run.
◇ Must be removed with a buffer after completely drying
Foot calluses should be removed after the feet are completely dry. It is recommended to wash your feet thoroughly and dry them completely before using a foot-specific exfoliator called a "buffer." There is also a method using fruit peels. You can rub the peels of citrus fruits like tangerines and oranges, or the pulp from yuzu tea, onto the soles of your feet. The AHA components found in fruit peels help remove the stratum corneum. Alternatively, try applying a generous amount of foot lotion or cream, wrapping your feet in plastic wrap, and going to bed. When you remove the wrap in the morning, your feet will feel soft. If the calluses are thick and hard, making them difficult to remove, it is effective to get a prescription for a medication containing a keratolytic agent, apply it, and then remove it after 15 minutes.
After exfoliating, you must apply a sufficient amount of moisturizer. If rough skin is not properly supplied with moisture and nutrients, keratosis is prone to developing. Keratosis is a condition in which the stratum corneum, the outermost layer of the epidermis, proliferates and changes, causing the skin to become rough or hard. In severe cases, it can cause discomfort and pain when walking, potentially requiring laser treatment.
