If you apply each step of your skincare immediately without giving it time to absorb, the active ingredients won't penetrate, and the product will just pill endlessly. I do something else for about 1-2 minutes after each step before layering my products neatly. This way, my base makeup pills less, and the skin stays hydrated, so I don't feel dryness from within!
