I always use concealer because of my under-eye dark circles, but while it looks fine in the morning, by the afternoon, the concealer gets stuck in the wrinkles.
At first, I thought I needed to find a product with good coverage, so I tried switching between various ones, but I actually felt that the higher the coverage, the thicker it applied and the more easily it settled into the cake.
Then, the method I changed was to clean up the oil under my eyes first before applying concealer.
After finishing your skincare routine, instead of applying concealer immediately, fold a tissue in half and gently place it under your eyes to lightly remove just the excess oil without pressing firmly.
Next, instead of spreading the concealer widely right away, dab a small amount only on the darkest parts of the dark circles, then gently pat with your finger or a small puff to blend the edges.
The really important tip here was not to cover the entire under-eye area with concealer.
In the past, I used to apply a thick layer all over my under-eye area because I thought it would look too dark, but since the product accumulated even in the parts that moved when I made facial expressions, it naturally got into the wrinkles.
And finally, I also stopped applying a lot of under-eye powder.
Apply just a very small amount to a small brush and finish by gently pressing it onto areas where the concealer tends to fold.
Since switching to this method, I have significantly reduced the frequency of checking for wrinkles under my eyes every time I look in the mirror in the afternoon.
If your concealer continues to crease no matter how many times you switch products, try controlling your oiliness first and applying a small amount only to the necessary areas before switching to a better product.
Covering only the necessary areas thinly actually made the under-eye area look much neater than covering a lot.
