If your mascara smudges every afternoon, try controlling the oil around your eyes first.
There are many of you who look fine when you apply makeup in the morning, but find that your under-eyes turn black by the afternoon, right?
I also have dark circles under my eyes like a panda after a few hours of applying mascara, so I tried waterproof products and smudge-prevention fixers, but there wasn't as much of a difference as I expected.
Then I found out that the oil remaining around the eyes can have a greater impact on smudging than the mascara itself.
So now, I tidy up the area around my eyes first before applying mascara.
After finishing your skincare routine, do not apply mascara immediately; instead, gently press your eyelids and under-eye area with a tissue to remove excess oil.
Next, apply just a tiny amount of powder to a small brush and lightly press it onto the area under your eyes and near your eyelashes.
The important thing here is not to apply a lot.
If you use too much powder, the area under your eyes can look dry and wrinkled, so it was best to tap off the excess after applying it to the brush and use only the remaining amount.
And it was also important not to open your eyes wide immediately after applying mascara.
If you wait at least 10 to 20 seconds for the mascara to dry somewhat before blinking, the smudging caused by the eyelashes touching the under-eye area is definitely reduced.
Especially for the lower lashes, do not be greedy and apply multiple coats; finish by lightly touching them with just the amount remaining on the brush.
After switching to this method, I got rid of the habit of checking under my eyes every time I looked in the mirror in the afternoon.
If your mascara smudges even after constantly switching products, try controlling the oil around your eyes first before changing your mascara.
Just wiping away excess oil with a tissue and applying a very thin layer of powder makes a bigger difference than you might think.
