For those whose skin gets drier after showering, I reversed the order.
Are there any of you who feel a tight, itchy sensation not only on your face but also on your body after taking a shower?
I also thought it only happened in the winter, but since I use the air conditioner a lot even in the summer, my skin was unusually dry after showering.
Even when I applied a generous amount of body lotion, the effect only lasted for a short while, and my skin would be dry and rough again the next day, so I was considering switching products. However, it turned out that I was showering in the wrong order from the start.
In the past, I used to wash my hair and apply a treatment first, then wash my face, and finally use body wash.
However, I noticed that many people finish showering with treatment or hair products still left on their neck or back.
So now I have changed the order to washing my hair first, rinsing off the treatment, and then washing my face and body last.
This order is quite important, especially if you are prone to breakouts on your back.
And after showering, instead of scrubbing your skin dry completely with a towel, apply body lotion immediately while it is still slightly damp.
The method I was most satisfied with here was not applying body lotion thickly all over my body, but rather applying an extra layer only to particularly dry areas like elbows, knees, and shins.
By doing this, my skin felt much less tight even without using as much lotion as before.
I also reduced taking long showers with hot water.
Although washing with hot water for a long time makes me feel refreshed right after, my skin feels dry quickly, so now I tend to wash briefly with water that feels just warm.
In the end, rather than looking for expensive body products, washing in the order of hair → treatment → face → body and moisturizing before the water dries was much more effective for me.
Especially if you experience skin tightness or frequent breakouts on your back after showering, try changing your shower routine before switching products.
After changing this, I wondered why I hadn't done it sooner.
