Hello
Lately, when I wake up in the morning and look in the mirror, I don't know why my face looks so dull and lifeless.
In the past, I used to hear compliments on my skin even if I just washed my face roughly and applied a single lotion, but now it is truly upsetting to clearly see the wrinkles around my eyes and nasolabial folds getting deeper. They say aging is a natural process, but as a woman, I still want to look as lovely as possible...
To be honest, I don't know much about cosmetic ingredients. So, instead of expensive items, I try to put my heart into using things that are easily available around me. These are some small tips that I pay attention to and make sure to follow these days.
● Relieving skin fatigue with a warm steam towel
After washing my face thoroughly, I wet a towel and heat it slightly in the microwave; it gets pleasantly warm. If I place it on my face for a moment, my pores open up, and I feel my skin, worn out all day outside, relaxing and soothing. Just this one step seems to improve blood circulation, as I can feel my complexion becoming much clearer.
● Oil massage sweeping upwards from bottom to top
After opening my pores with a towel, I pour some face oil or nourishing cream I have at home onto my palms to warm it up, then massage my face. The key here is to massage gently from bottom to top, as if defying gravity. When I rub with care, pouring my earnest hope that even a little bit of wrinkles will smooth out, my skin feels incredibly firm and supple.
● Moisturize sufficiently to prevent pillow marks
As I get older, it's often upsetting when the pillow marks I wake up don't disappear until lunchtime. So, before going to bed, I apply a generous amount of cream—enough to feel a bit excessive. On days when I put in the effort, I can definitely feel the softness on my fingertips the next morning, and I can tell my makeup applies much better.
I can't afford to spend a fortune at an expensive dermatologist, but I think taking time to cherish myself at home like this is the true beginning of skincare. I try not to overthink things. How about trying to soothe your skin with just a warm towel in the evening?
