How to apply lipstick that lasts a long time without looking heavy or stuffy
I've noticed a big difference between days when my lipstick applies nicely and days when it looks particularly messy.
Even though it was the same product, some days it looked clear, and other days my lips looked like they were floating.
So, instead of changing the color, I tried changing the order of application first.
If you apply lip balm first, do not apply lipstick directly on top of it.
If there is oil left in the lip balm, the color doesn't adhere evenly.
So, I gently press with a tissue to remove the remaining oil on the surface.
This single process makes the application much more stable.
Next, I don't apply lipstick to fill in my entire lips.
Apply a small amount only to the center of the inner lips, then leave it for a few seconds without rubbing immediately to allow the color to blend naturally. Next, gently tap from the inside out with your finger to blur just the edges.
The key point is not to rub it.
If the color is insufficient, add another layer only to the inside instead of covering the entire area.
If you do this, the staying power becomes much better even though it isn't thick.
Finally, if you apply a very small amount only to the cupid's bow area, your face will look more defined and your lips will look neat and polished.
In the past, I kept applying layers on top whenever I touched up my lipstick, and as a result, the color gradually became dull.
Now, even when making corrections, I've changed the method to just lightly filling in the inside.
I think lip makeup is not something you complete in one go, but rather something you build up thinly.
Since I changed it like this, my lip color rarely breaks down messily anymore.
