1. Abib Houttuynia Cordata Trace Essence Pad Clear Touch

The first great purchase is the Abib Houttuynia Cordata Blemish Essence Pad Clear Touch.

As the seasons change, my skin has become sensitive, and large and small blemishes have started to pop up one by one.

I bought the Abib Houttuynia Cordata Pads to give them a try because they are famous for being effective not only for soothing the skin but also for managing blemishes.

With the recent powerful renewal of the Abib Houttuynia Cordata Pad, the pad size has increased by 1cm to 7cm.

It was big, so it was really good for factory work.

I also liked that it is split half plain and half hook side, so I can use the plain side for a face mask and then gently wipe with the hook side to softly remove dead skin cells!

I used to only use tea tree oil for soothing troubled skin, but it seems like Houttuynia cordata suits my skin well too.

It didn't completely calm down in just one day, but after using it consistently for a few days, I was satisfied because I could feel the breakouts subsiding and the marks improving a little.

2. Heart Percent Dot On Mood Lip Pencil

The second great purchase is the Heart Percent Dot On Mood Lip Pencil.

You all know that the lip trend these days is glossy, tanghulu-style over-lips, right?!

In particular, one of the key points of Jang Won-young's makeup is her lips. I saw them and thought they looked so pretty, so I ended up purchasing the Heart Percent Lip Pencil while looking for a product to create an over-lip look.

I usually only use glossy products because matte lip products accentuate wrinkles and cause dead skin cells to flak, so I was worried it might be drying.

I was surprised by how soft it felt, both when I tested it on my hand and when I applied it directly to my lips.

When my lips are in really bad condition, wrinkles naturally stand out and dead skin cells flak, but I've found that if I apply a generous amount of Vaseline the night before, that rarely happens.

It’s not just the over-lip effect, but I think I felt even more satisfied because I usually have pigmentation on the outer edges of my lips, so that always bothered me.

It isn't a color with too much of a pink tint; true to its name "Salmon Beige," it's a shade with the perfect blend of pink and beige, so it covered pigmentation really naturally!

This was the first lip pencil I ever bought, and since I am 100% willing to repurchase it, I highly recommend the Heart Percent Lip Pencil to anyone wondering which one to buy!

3. Isntree Onion New Pear Gel Cream

The first item I regret buying is the Isntree Onion New Pear Gel Cream.

I heard that onion gel cream is good for removing blemishes, so I bought and tried it out.

It wasn't very effective on me, whether on old marks or new ones.

The texture itself wasn't dry or excessively oily, so it wasn't bad for a casual application.

I bought the Onion Gel Cream because I saw reviews saying that it significantly improved skin and faded blemishes, but since I saw absolutely no effect, I have listed it as a regrettable purchase.

4. Dear A Personal Single Concealer

The second item I regret buying is the Dear A Personal Single Concealer.

My dark circles weren't covered by base makeup products alone, so I bought and tried many different concealers.

The concealers I usually use to cover blemishes or scars are all matte, so I found it difficult to apply them to areas like under the eyes where the skin is thin and wrinkles settle easily.

So, while looking for a moisturizing concealer, I purchased the Dear A concealer.

I chose the 05 Peach Puff shade, which can cover dark circles.

After using it, I liked that it was really moisturizing and could be spread thinly to cover dark circles.

However, as time passed, the Dear A concealer highlighted wrinkles more severely and dried out my under-eyes compared to concealers that apply matte from the start.

I thought maybe I applied too much, so I tried reducing the amount and even applied a small amount of powder to set it, but it ended up flaking off.

I chose this as my second regret item because I felt that applying a small amount of matte concealer with a brush after a thorough skincare routine prevents creasing and provides better longevity.

So, I’ve introduced the great purchases and regrets from Olive Young’s Black Friday deals!

As brands and products become more diverse, the wider range of choices is a good thing, but it also makes it difficult to decide which one to buy.

I hope reading my product review helps you choose better cosmetics. 🤗
