Olive Young Top 2 Recommended/Not Recommended Items

Today, in celebration of the Olive Young sale ending soon, I thought I’d introduce my top 2 favorite Olive Young products and top 2 least favorites.

 

1. WakeMake Shaking Blur Cheek 02 Plush

This is the WakeMake Shaking Blur Cheek that I've used the most lately haha.
I tend to prefer liquid blush over powder blush because I have to carry a separate brush and the powder tends to fly around!
I think many people avoid liquid blush because they are worried it might rub off their base makeup.
Unlike other liquid blushes, the WakeMake Shaking Blur Cheek has a formula that turns matte after application rather than creating an inner glow, so I found that it worked well without my base makeup coming off when used with the mini blush puff!
The color is a cool pink with a hint of white (02 Flush), perfect for summer cool tones :)
Since it is a liquid blush with a matte finish, it has great staying power, and the color stays the same without fading.

 

2. Dinto Blurgloy Lip Tint 219 Ave Maria

Next up is Dinto Blurgloy Tint #219 Ave Maria!
Dinto Blur Gloy Tint has a sticky texture that glides onto the lips without separating, so it is great to use as a base color!
In particular, the shade #219 Ave Maria that I used is a toned-down deep mauve that is perfect for Summer Mute types. It isn't overly saturated, so the color and texture are ideal for using as a base lip before applying a statement lip!

 

 

So, let me introduce two products I tried at Olive Young that I didn't think were very good!

 

1. Rainbow Mansion Objet Glossy Tint 006 Grape Drop

The first is Rainbow Mansion's Glossy Tint in the shade Grape Drop!

I bought this tint because I liked the color, but it's far from the texture I prefer, so I don't reach for it often.🥺

As you can see, the color doesn't lean too much towards mauve or peach, so although it is a cool-toned shade, it is suitable for those with warm undertones as well!

However, for me, the yogurt-like separation was quite severe, and the staying power wasn't very good compared to other glow tints, so I don't find myself reaching for it often.

 

2. Glint Liquid Highlighter 02 Glosser

The second item I don't recommend is Glint's liquid highlighter!

Actually, Gwang is such a pretty friend...

Due to the nature of the liquid formula, the base I applied underneath tends to peel off a bit, so I don't find myself reaching for it often🥺

I think this product would be a better fit for those who need a natural, dewy highlighter for foundation-free makeup, rather than for those like me who apply thick base makeup and want a definite glow!
