The expiration date indicates how long it is recommended to use the entire product after opening. If you look at the back or corners of the product, you will see an illustration of an open container along with numbers such as 6M or 12M. This is the expiration date; 6M means it is recommended to use the product within 6 months, and 12M means it is recommended to use it within 12 months of opening!
