Say goodbye to makeup caking on dry skin during the changing seasons 👋 Sharing my skincare routine before applying base makeup.

To be honest, base makeup was a real stress for me because of my dry skin 😭

I spent so much time on my skincare routine and applied my cushion foundation nicely in the morning, but as soon as lunchtime passes, dead skin cells start flaking on my cheeks and around my mouth, and my makeup feels like it's cracking...

I used to sigh every time I looked in the mirror.

My skin used to crack really badly, especially during the changing seasons like now, but now I take care of my skin with a 4-step routine!!!

 

 

My 4-step routine to fix base creasing on dry skin 🫧 These are my favorite combinations these days!

 

 

✔ STEP 1 | Deucetree Pick & Quick Pull-out Mask (Moistureful)

 

The first step of my routine is creating a hydration base with a face mask. I apply it right after washing my face in the morning!

 

I like this product because it uses a dispenser where you pull out one sheet at a time, which is hygienic and convenient. Another advantage is that there are various types, such as Makeup Boost, Moistureful, Vitamin Light Up, and Calmingful, so you can choose one depending on your skin condition that day. I mainly use the Moistureful type.

 

After applying it and leaving it on for about 15 minutes, your skin feels moisturized and softened, and if you apply makeup in this state, the base adheres much more naturally.

I didn't know a single face mask could make such a huge difference 😮

I used to think of face masks as something I only did occasionally, once or twice a week, but now they have become an essential part of my routine before makeup.

 

 

✔ STEP 2 | Torriden Dive-in Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid Serum

 

I apply the serum immediately after removing the mask pack. I think this timing is important. I feel like the serum absorbs much better when applied while the skin is still open after the pack!

However, apply only a very small amount!! Otherwise, the foundation will cake! It doesn't matter if you aren't wearing makeup!

 

The Torriden Dive-in Serum is really as good as the rumors say.

It is said that hyaluronic acid of five different molecular weights fills the skin with moisture layer by layer from the surface to the inside, and I can actually feel that sensation when I apply it.

It absorbs lightly like water, but after applying it, the difference is striking—my skin feels firm and moisturized.

It isn't sticky, so you can apply the serum and move on to the next step immediately.

 

 

✔ STEP 3 | Estra Atobarrier 365 Cream

 

After the serum is absorbed, apply a cream to lock in the moisture. For dry skin, moisture tends to evaporate with serum alone. The step of using a cream to block it is absolutely necessary!

 

Estra Atobarrier 365 Cream works on the principle that high-density ceramide capsules replenish the skin barrier, but the texture isn't as heavy as expected.

At first, I thought it would be very rich and heavy since it is called a barrier cream, but when I actually apply it, it is gentle and absorbs lightly while keeping the skin moisturized for a long time.

Even when applied before makeup, it doesn't cake or cake; instead, it feels like a protective barrier forms on the skin, so the base makeup applies much better.

 

It’s especially great to apply at night~~

 

 

 

✔ Last | Round Lab Birch Hydration Sunscreen

 

Once the cream is absorbed, finish with sunscreen.

Sunscreen is the last step before base makeup, so if you have dry skin, you need to choose your sunscreen carefully!! (Super important)

I've found that if I use sunscreen that is too drying or leaves a heavy white cast, my makeup doesn't go on well over it. 😅

 

Round Lab Birch Moisture Sunscreen applies really moisturizingly, just like its name suggests.

There is almost no white cast, and perhaps because it contains birch sap, my skin feels moisturized even after application.

With SPF50+ PA++++, it provides reliable UV protection, and since my base makeup seems to adhere much more naturally after applying this, it has become an essential item in my routine these days ☀️

 

 

Since switching to this routine, my foundation has lasted much longer into the afternoon, and the flaking has noticeably decreased.
