How to fix sunscreen when it clumps while applying

Have you ever experienced clumping while reapplying sunscreen over your makeup? I’ve had that happen occasionally, which has been quite frustrating. When sunscreen clumps while reapplying, I found that forcing it to rub actually makes it smudge and look messier. At times like that, I even felt like I wanted to remove all my makeup and start over.

If you have cleansing wipes, gently pressing and wiping only the clumped areas will leave your skin looking much neater. However, it is more common to not have wipes when you are out and about. In that case, lightly spraying a hydrating mist and then patting with your fingers or a puff will give you a much more natural finish.

Most importantly, you should apply small amounts in multiple layers from the start. This will help minimize smudging or clumping. If it has already clumped, add moisture with a mist and gently pat it to smooth it out, rather than rubbing.
