Worst beauty items: all mildly acidic products
My worst beauty items are all slightly acidic products.
As I have oily skin, all mildly acidic products like foam cleansers, toners, and lotions didn't suit me.
It is said that for oily skin, mildly acidic products do not effectively remove oil and sebum, and can actually cause breakouts.
When I wash my face with a mildly acidic foam cleanser, it doesn't feel squeaky clean but rather slightly slippery. It's fine for a day or two, but after that, breakouts start to appear one by one.
It varies from person to person, so it may work well for some, but if you experience breakouts, I recommend stopping the use of mildly acidic products.
