A Beauty Enthusiast's Best & Worst Olive Young Items
Hello, I am a college student and a beauty enthusiast! For your reference, I am a Summer Cool type!! Since the Olive Young Black Friday took place in November, I assume many of you visited Olive Young quite a bit. Today, as a Summer Cool type beauty enthusiast, I would like to introduce two good Olive Young cosmetics and two cosmetics that I think could be improved.
First, let me introduce the BEST!
The first is Peripera V Shading 03 Grayish Cool. The expiration date is 24 months, and the capacity is 9.5g. Peripera V Shading 03 Grayish Cool was selected as the shade that best suits Summer Cool skin tones among all Peripera V Shading products. I have used Peripera V Shading 03 Grayish Cool for about half a year and have used about 60% of it. There is almost no powder fallout, and since my aesthetic preference is neat and natural, I think the color payoff is very natural! I apply it three times when I shade. If you prefer a noticeable look, I recommend buying the Too Cool for School shading product!
Second is the Romand Dewyple Water Tint 10 Mermer Pink. You know that the Romand Dewyple Water Tint 10 Mermer Pink is such a super famous and trusted product that it's even called a "national favorite" for cool-toned skin types, right? Haha. That's why I listed it in my recommendations. Even though it's a glow lip tint, it has great staying power and doesn't look too obvious, making it perfect for wearing on bare skin! You know that tints are only usable for 6 months after opening, right? The tint bottle is so pretty, and isn't tint synonymous with Romand?! Since it costs less than 10,000 won, I recommend it to students!
Now, let me introduce WORST!
First up is the Banila Co Prime Primer Finish Powder. Isn't the Banila Co Prime Primer Finish Powder super famous? It functions as a primer, covers pores well, and is known as a great value product that lasts a long time thanks to its whopping 12g capacity? However, the more I used it, the more I noticed areas that needed improvement, even though the quantity is generous. First off, I can't control the amount, so when I apply it in the order of skincare ➡️ compact ➡️ powder, the powder clumps too much. The powder puff also gets dirty quickly, so I bought a pack of just puffs when Olive Young sold them 🥲. From now on, when using the Banila Co Prime Primer Finish Powder, I think it would be better to control the amount on a shading brush first and then apply it with the brush...
Finally, this is the Romand Better Than Cheek W03 Mulberry Milk. As a cool-toned summer type, I consider Romand Better Than Cheek W03 Mulberry Milk to be "pretty trash." Only the color payoff is naturally pretty; otherwise, I really, really do not recommend it... First of all, the biggest issue that needs improvement is the powder fallout. Even if you just lightly brush it off, the powder scatters so severely that it gets all over my pants and vanity. It’s to the point where I wouldn't want to buy it again, even though the color is pretty. Because the fallout is so bad, I always have to put a tissue down when using it, which is very inconvenient. Since the powder fallout is so bad, the amount runs out quickly, and although it was a budget-friendly product I bought for around 6,000 won, it feels like it's worth the price...
