I think the scent is fragrant, but it doesn't feel purely sweet; it actually seems a bit strong. Since it is a perfume that lasts a very long time, I don't think you need to worry about the scent's longevity! I usually spray it once or twice, and even with that, it seemed to last a long time. The more you spray, the stronger the scent becomes and the longer it lasts.
