Are there any good products for self-waxing at home, besides going to a salon?

I'm too scared to use a waxing device, but I saw there is one where you apply cream to melt the wax. Please share a review of it.

Please tell me a self-waxing method that can be used on the underarms and pubic area. I really want to try it at least once before I die.
