필립스 루메아 제모기 써보고 싶네요
This is the laser hair removal device I use. Philips Lumea :)
After having my underarms removed five times at a dermatology clinic, I was considering getting laser hair removal there again, but I thought it would be more beneficial to just buy a home laser hair removal device, so after much deliberation, I bought the Philips Lumea.
I used to have as much underarm hair as most men, but I got rid of half at a dermatologist's office and the other half with the Philips Lumea. There are a strand or two left, but it's practically non-existent, so I'll just ignore them haha.
The laser intensity ranges from 1 to 5 levels. You shave first, select your desired intensity, and then apply the laser. I started with level 5 for my arms and legs, and began with level 3 for areas with thicker hair, like my bikini line and underarms. It hurt terribly at first on the thicker areas. However, as I continued using it, I got used to it, and since the hair has gradually thinned out, it doesn't hurt as much at level 5 as it used to.
The treatment window is about this size. For laser hair removal devices, a large window is more convenient. A larger window allows you to reduce the number of laser shots from 10 to 6 or 7. If the window is small, how could you possibly treat a wide body thoroughly? When I was buying, the Lumea and Silk'n models had relatively large windows, and after debating between the two, I ended up buying the Lumea because it was a bit cheaper haha.
But when I bought it, they gave me a small treatment window along with it, haha. For narrow areas like the philtrum, fingers, or toes, you can just switch to the small window. But I'm too lazy, so I just use the big one for everything. It works well on my fingers and toes with the large window, and the sensor recognizes them better, so I haven't used the small window many times.
Anyway, I bought this and removed all the remaining hair from my underarms, fingers, toes, arms, and legs, and I'm still working on my bikini line. I think I bought it for around 200,000 won back then on 11th Street after using coupons and card discounts, and since I've removed hair from almost my entire body, I think I've definitely gotten my money's worth.
These days, there are so many better, more affordable, and diverse home laser hair removal devices coming out. If you have a lot of areas to hair remove like me, I think buying a device and doing it yourself is a good idea. Of course, you have to be diligent, haha. I also skip doing it during the winter, but I start diligently removing hair only when summer is right around the corner.
Ah, but for those with very thick hair, I recommend getting hair removal treatments at a dermatologist's office about 5 times before using a home laser. It took quite a long time to remove thick hair using only a home laser.
