Skin and toner

Are skin toner and skin lotion different?

I'm thinking of changing it this time.

Is it something different?

I thought they were the same, just with different names.

Do I need to buy a toner to use for wiping my face?

Can't I just wipe my face with a toner?

I am currently looking at Innisfree because it is good value for money.
