How to make lip products last longer

I have tried all kinds of lip tints that don't smudge even after eating and last for over 30 hours, but as someone with extremely oily skin, I didn't see any results. Then recently, however, I found that applying Vaseline over any tint really made it last a long time. Since then, no matter which tint I use, Vaseline alone keeps my lips moisturized and lasts a long time.
