Reapplying sunscreen

How many times a day do you reapply sunscreen?

I apply it when I leave for work in the morning, and then once more after lunch.

I apply a thin layer, but since it's summer, reapplying feels a bit sticky.

That's what I found... But I can't exactly wash my face before applying it either.

So I'm just reapplying it under my eyes, when reapplying sunscreen

Is there any way to apply it without feeling too sticky...
