Hi. I’d like to introduce the daily eye makeup items that I reach for the most these days.

When it comes to eye makeup, you end up returning to familiar combinations rather than trying something new every day, you know?

I’ve gathered only the real daily essentials that have been naturally filtered out over the past few months.

If you have a summer cool undertone like me, you probably hesitate at least once in front of pink eyeshadows.

If you choose the wrong one, your eyelids feel red, so I struggled with this for quite a while too.

As a result, I started to get a feel for which pinks are safe for cool-toned skin 💗

 

 

First, let me briefly introduce myself. I am Ari, and I run a beauty blog and work as a curator.

I love trying out new beauty products so much that whenever news of a new release comes out, I tend to save it first.

Since I don't really stick to any specific category—from skincare, base, makeup, body, and hair—my makeup pouch is always getting heavy and my vanity is often running out of space ☺️

Still, I believe I can only know if something suits me after trying it out myself, so I am trying to be honest about both the good and bad points.

 

 

The products I tried this time are the WakeMake eye palette, multi palette, and Lilybyred pen liner.

All three match well in tone, so when I take them out one by one in the morning, I find myself settling on this combination before I know it.

It sets everything from the eye line to the blush line in one go, so I couldn't help but reach for it 💗

 

 

Lilybyred Nine to Nine Survival Pen Liner 03 Walnut Brown

True to its name, it is a soft brown color, so I reach for it much more comfortably than black liner. It doesn't look cakey even on cool-toned skin and just naturally defines the eyes, making it perfect for daily use.

The brush tip is thin, so it is easy to fill in the gaps between the eyelashes, and you can draw thick lines depending on how much pressure you apply. Most of all, I loved that there was almost no smudging all day long, so my under-eye area didn't look messy when I looked in the mirror in the afternoon. ☺️

 

WakeMake Soft Blurring Eye Palette 10 Lazy Pink Blurring

True to its name, it has a hazy, spreading pink tone, so it suited my cool summer line really well.

Pink eyeshadow can easily make the eyelids look red, but since the saturation in this palette is toned down, I didn't find that burdensome.

I liked that the particles are fine and it adheres well, so even when I swipe it on with my finger, it doesn't clump and spreads naturally.

The combination of matte and glitter is well-balanced, so you can create everything from everyday looks to a slightly dressed-up vibe just by mixing and matching within this palette.

It isn't completely fallout-free, so I have to be a little careful when using glitter, but it was definitely worth the hassle 💗

 

WakeMake Soft Sheer Multi Palette 13 Pink Shell

This is the product that once caused a massive sell-out frenzy. I barely managed to get my hands on it late, but after using it, I immediately understood why it was so popular.

It is especially perfect for aegyo-sal (under-eye) makeup. When applied thinly under the eyes, the softly shimmering colors don't look cakey but create a naturally plump look. It isn't excessively shiny, so it's not overwhelming for daily use either. ☺️

Since it's a multi-palette, I can use it for both my eyelids and cheek highlighter, so I thought I could just pack this one when traveling 💗

 

 

First, I will show you two before photos and two after photos, and then I will explain each one.

You will really get a sense of how the atmosphere changes when you see the photos, even with the same eyes, just by adding these three things ☺️

 

 

I mix colors 06 Bubblegum and 13 Pink You from the eye palette and apply them broadly to my eyelids.

I found that mixing the two colors together instead of using them separately makes the shades blend much more softly, preventing harsh lines. Even just spreading it broadly with a brush in one go creates a subtle pink tint, brightening up the eyes at this stage alone. ☺️

 

After applying it to your eyelids, lightly apply the remaining amount on the brush to your aegyo sal (under-eye area).

Doing this helps control under-eye oil and creates a natural blend of colors, so the harsh lines aren't noticeable. Even without layering extra color, it gives the impression that the entire eye is enveloped as one, so I always make sure to include this step. ☺️

 

Use a flat brush to fill in the crease and outer corner of the eye with the slightly darker reddish color from the eye palette.

Using a flat brush allows you to apply a thin layer only where you want, so the color doesn't smudge and the lines are sharp. Since it is a dark color, building it up little by little rather than scooping out a lot at once results in a much more natural finish.

At this stage, the eye contour really comes alive, making the pink applied earlier look even prettier 💗

 

I fill in the inner waterline thinly so the eyes don't look heavy, and draw the outer corner just slightly, following the natural flow of the eye shape. Since it's a brown color, doing it this way doesn't look excessive, yet it makes the eyes look defined. ☺️

 

The Lily Pink color in the multi-palette is densely packed with fine pearls, making it absolutely perfect for under-eye makeup.

With just one or two swipes, the under-eye area gives off a subtle shimmer and a natural volume. Since the pearl particles are small, it doesn't sparkle excessively; it just looks slightly fuller under the light, so it's not overwhelming to use daily 💗

 

Then, apply Sand Misty to a thin brush and draw a thin shadow on the under-eye area.

If you draw it too darkly, it will look unnatural, so the key is to apply it lightly, just using what is left on the tip of the brush. Even just this one line makes your aegyo sal look much more distinct and three-dimensional. ☺️

 

Then, lightly apply the white pearl color of the eyeshadow to the inner corners of your eyes.

If you just lightly dab this on at the end, your eyes look much more defined and your overall look comes alive with a radiant glow. Since too much can feel overwhelming, I found it just right to put a tiny bit on the brush and lightly dab it only on the inner part of your bangs ✨

 

This is how my daily pink eye makeup routine turned out.

It might look complicated, but it only takes a few minutes once you actually try it, and once you get the hang of it, you can finish it in no time in the morning. It's a pink combination that even cool-toned individuals can pull off without feeling overwhelmed, so I confidently want to recommend it to those with similar skin tones 💗

 

The three items I introduced today are all genuine daily essentials that I haven't been able to let go of for months.

I liked the WakeMake eye palette because it features muted pink tones that even cool-toned summers can use with confidence, and I was surprised by how the multi-palette changed my impression just by highlighting my aegyo sal (under-eye area). Adding the Lilybyred pen liner to this neatly finishes off the eye look.
