Missha Dare Rouge Velvet Better Than Sun

This is the Missha Dare Rouge Velvet Better Than Sun that I've been using a lot lately. It's a red-hot pink shade with a slight bluish tint; when worn by a Summer Cool tone, it instantly brightens the face, making the complexion look radiant. The lighting made the photos look a bit warm, but the actual color shown in the second picture is slightly less red and has more of a bluish undertone. In my opinion, it isn't a very cool shade, so I think it's a color that even those who aren't Summer Cool could manage to pull off. While many hot pink lipsticks can make the lips stand out too much, Better Than Sun feels like a fairly safe and neutral hot pink.

Since it is a velvet type, it applies with a matte finish. The advantage is that it glides on smoothly without settling into lip creases because of its soft, powdery texture. I like to apply it by dabbing it on, which makes it look natural, just like a lip tint. It looks really pretty even when I'm just wearing sunscreen, haha. As I took swatches for this review, I realized how beautiful it is all the more, making me think it was a great purchase :)
