Curly hair straightening cycle

My hair is naturally wavy, so I usually go around with a perm, but this time I got a straightening treatment.

If I don't get root straightening, I think there will be a big difference between the curly roots and the straightened parts.

I'm curious how often people with curly hair get root straightening done!
