How do you dye your gray hair?

Now the time has come when it's hard if I don't dye my hair.

I've managed to hold out so well until now. How do you all manage your gray hair? I tried Mise-en-scène foam dye; the dye works really well, but my scalp stung so much ㅠㅠ Is there a way to dye well while protecting my scalp? Please share any good tips you have~
