Will exfoliating pads be effective for the rough skin texture around my chin? Please let me know the proper care method!

Hello, I'm concerned about my rough skin texture (it seems like my base makeup doesn't apply well because of it), and the skin on my chin is particularly rough compared to other areas. I analyzed the reason myself and concluded it was due to dead skin cells, so for the past few days, I have been using exfoliating pads mainly on my chin every two days..!
However, perhaps because it hasn't been long, I haven't seen any noticeable effects, and I'm actually starting to think it might just be irritating my skin.
Has anyone tried improving their skin texture with exfoliating pads? Or, I would appreciate it if you could recommend other products or methods that help improve the skin texture around my chin. :)
